PRESENTERS: Wendy Rennie, Colour & Concept Manager and Teresa Watters, Architectural Sales Manager.
TOPIC: The inspiration behind Colour Conscience.
DESIGN INSPIRATIONS: The latest palette release from Haymes Paint, Volume 11 - Colour Conscience, is a feel-good forecast built around the philosophy on how personal change can contribute to a greater good. In a world where we are becoming increasingly aware of our global impact, it’s time to explore ideas that embrace thinking not only about ourselves but the wider community. This forecast represents soul searching through colour. Inspired by the idea that "actions speak louder than words", we explore three themes and explain how to specify with a conscience on both Residential and Commercial projects.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS: With the wide range of paint and textured finishes available we will discuss important technical considerations to be made when specifying on various projects.
SPECIFICATION & DOCUMENTATION: We will highlight key points in specifying appropriate products and including access to trained applicators. We will also feature information on how to obtain custom samples in various product finishes.
SHOWROOM VISIT: Join us in our showroom where you can collect colour inspiration and feel the elegant textures of the Artisan Collection. Our showroom has been designed as working resource centre for you and your clients.
PRESENTERS: Kate Deegan, Design Manager QLD and Eddie Briffa, Architectural Manager QLD.
TOPIC: Bricks and the exterior facade.
DESIGN INSPIRATIONS: The material that your house is built from also forms the foundation (literally) of its aesthetic appeal. The colour, shape, size and texture of the bricks you choose will influence the overall look and feel of the façade. We will look at the current façade trends within Queensland and how the addition of brick can add character, charm and individuality to a home and how new bricks will appear alongside existing materials.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS: Choosing the right size for your project may depend on different factors, from the proportions of the house to the purpose of the bricks. The information will cover topics such as what to consider when specifying brick, as well as the size, profiles, brick bonds and mortar joints & colours.
SPECIFICATION & DOCUMENTATION: This presentation will show you how to specify PGH products for both internal and external applications.
SHOWROOM VISIT: Kate & Eddie will introduce you to the new PGH Showroom at The Build and Design Centre. This visit will give you the opportunity to ask questions about the latest products on display and gain inspiration for your next projects.
PRESENTER: Belinda Worden, Specification Manager.
TOPIC: Two unique products, what you should know before you specify.
DESIGN INSPIRATIONS: Spacemaile by Kaynemaile may appear to be a decorative fabric at first sight but to the contrary, Spacemaile offers more than just good looks. Spacemaile's Structural performance is achieved by using engineering grade polycarbonates, making this mesh suitable for extremely high wear environments and could be just the product you are looking for in your next project. Acrylic Couture stands out in a crowd. With intoxicating effects through extravagant inlays, this luxurious product is perfect for projects demanding a touch of beauty.
TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS: The more you learn about Spacemaile and Acrylic Couture the more you see them in a new light. Belinda will showcase recent projects and discuss various applications, how and why they were used, and share trouble shooting tips to assist when specifying your project.
SPECIFICATION & DOCUMENTATION: We will break down documenting Spacemaile and Acrylic Couture as this varies across applications.
SHOWROOM VISIT: It is only when you see these products in our showroom that you'll truly understand their beauty and versatility.
