Interior Acoustics in Education Facilities

Overview

Open-plan educational environments are challenging from a design perspective, balancing needs of teachers and students and in providing speech privacy whilst controlling noise. Selecting material for acoustic absorption must also be balanced with other considerations such as colour fastness, sustainability and fire compliancy. National Standard of Competency
This presentation will deliver outcomes related to the following Competency/s from the National Standard of Competency for Architects 2021:
• PC 28 Be able to draw on knowledge from building sciences and technology, environmental sciences and behavioural and social sciences as part of preliminary design research and when developing the conceptual design to optimise the performance of the project.

He has Tertiary Construction qualifications, practical experience gained from being a registered Unrestricted General Builder and extensive presentation experience from countless presentations to construction industry professionals across Australia and New Zealand.
