It was our pleasure to host the KBDi for their end of year function. It was a wonderful evening of design inspiration, product knowledge and networking.

In true Polytec style, their fundraiser for the McGrath Foundation during breast cancer awareness week was attended by a full house of designers, boasted four presenters, was a great success and a whole lot of fun.

During this in-person seminar brought to us by Paradise Timbers & Britton Timbers, our expert speakers including Laurens Notenboom, Head of Sales of Accoya and Shaun from Shaun Lockyer Architects delved into the unique properties and benefits of Accoya wood.

On Saturday, Occupational Therapist Liz Ainsworth, with the assistance of Tina from Caroma hosted an assisted living design event. With changes to the NCC 2022, it is critically important that design considerations meet the new code requirements from the outset.

It was lovely to see Marlo from Prestige Carpets who came all the way from Melbourne to host a Design event with members from the IDA and Andersens.

In this full day training session with Occupational Therapists, Jodie and Tina from Caroma did a wonderful job covering all bases from NDIS to NCC and everything in between.

The team at James Hardie have nack of succeeding. This is no small part due to their ongoing commitment to engaging with and educating key industry partners through ongoing training sessions such as this one last week.

Engaging and educating your inner circle customers is one of the keys to success. Last week, the team at James Hardie did exactly that in a full day workshop with Mitre 10 Sunshine Coast.

John and Jack from Ventair hosted a product training day with the team from Harvey Norman Commercial last week.

On Wednesday evening we heard the latest industry updates from Caesarstone’s Managing Director David Cullen and a live panel of experts covering topics on health & safety, sustainability & product innovation, hosted by designer Darren Palmer.

The team at Ventair did an exceptional job during their full day training session with one of their key distribution partners on Tuesday last week. With all the NCC 2022 changes and the requirements around ventilation, this session which included a showroom demonstration was invaluable for the Rexel team.

The NCC changes are set to significantly impact residential construction. We heard from our guest speaker Kelvin Cuskelly, Manager – Building Services for HIA , as he provided a snapshot of the key changes that will be impacting the QLD Building Industry.

The inimitable Marylou Cafaro and the amazing team at polytec launched their beautiful trendjournal, showcasing joinery and design trends in Australia.

Joining forces were Polytec, Caesarstone and Taubmans in an interactive session with Designers, creating personalised palettes of colours for their interior designs. They created stunnning flat lays with unique colours using the Coloursmith tool for their social media.

The clever team at Polytec ran a wonderfully engaging session on Biophilic Design, a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions.

As they do so successfully all the time, Oliver and the team from James Hardie treated these builders from Landmark Homes NZ to a number of site visits showcasing their latest designs, and also a plant visit to demonstrate what goes into producing their product range. Valuable & unforgettable engagement.

The team at James Hardie continue to do a brilliant job of engaging their inner circle customers. It was our pleasure to host their three day Learn with Hardie workshops last week.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, the team at Polytec put together a beautiful event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

On Wednesday evening it was our pleasure to once again host the members of NAWIC for the launch of their 2023 Mentoring Programme.

Rachel from Haymans Electrical hosted an excellent workshop on the ins and outs of Speciality Lighting Design with members of the IDA on Thursday last week.

The team at Polytec continued their highly successful strategy of engaging Designers in their showroom again last week.

With a fantastic turn out of architects, designers and industry, Benjamin Moore launched their Colour of the Year for 2022 in style. Delicious nibbles and drinks, great music, beautiful colours, lots of chats and laughter and wonderful new relationships established made the launch of Raspberry Blush a spectacular success.
