Using Colour Effectively
This is the part of any renovation that people get excited about until they start looking and then the confusion sets in. These days there is a plethora of product both online and in retail plus TV Reno Shows that make everything seem easy.
Julie will explain the basics of undertone, bases, cool and warm colours, using light and dark for contrast. We’ll look at how to combine finishes to be complimentary.
Julie Blackmore retrained from a corporate marketing and sales manager’s role in 2000 having worked in the Airline and Tourism industry. Her love of travel from an early age developed her appreciation of architecture, culture and colour.
She studied Colour at the School of Colour and Design in Sydney, then a Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration in Brisbane, followed by a speciality in Kitchen and Bathroom Design. She has also taught at many design schools.
She has been contracted by Dulux as a Dulux Colour Designer for over 20 years ago and holds a position on the Colour Society national committee as well having been Chair and Secretary of the Kitchen Bathroom Designers in Queensland.
