Overview
Welcome to the James Hardie Modern Homes Forecast 2025, our second annual report designed to inspire specifiers and industry professionals with the latest insights influencing contemporary home design. The James Hardie Modern Homes Forecast draws on advanced AI, expert insights and research. This year, we identified key lifestyle themes that are influencing home design. We share how they are being expressed across eight popular, enduring and emerging modern home styles.

- Understand how global and local STEEP (Societal, Technological, Environmental, Economic, and Political) factors are driving changes in Australian housing design.
- Identify and explain the four major lifestyle themes shaping modern residential architecture: building efficiency, wellbeing, flexibility, and resilience.
- Evaluate existing and emerging home design styles and architectural strategies to enhance affordability, wellness, sustainability, resilience and adaptability in modern homes.
- Utilise key findings from the Modern Homes Forecast to inform design decisions, material selection, and client consultations.

Presenter
Nikitas is the Business Development Manager – New Product Innovation & Specifiers. Having been in the specification space for a number of years, his current role is to engage and present James Hardie’s new product innovation to determine the best method for product uptake and to test acceptance with leading designers and stakeholders and to help develop with their R&D department a future pipeline of innovation.
He has a passion for design and architecture and see great value in being a trusted advisor, helping their clients to achieve their design intent and vision for their projects.
