In this session, Chris from 4D Doors shared the latest in techlology, design and applications for their innovative range of garage doors, while Carol from Caesarstone introduced their stunning new range of porcelain surfaces.

Tanya & the team at Clipsal hosted this group of Design Students from Tafe South Brisbane for a training session last week.

Agata from Urban Turf Solutions presented different design details and application methods of synthetic grass in various environments such as schools, public spaces and commercial applications.

In this seminar architect, Richard Kennedy, discussed several examples of this design approach, along with models, photos of the finished work and typical cost plans.

On Saturday morning, Brett Adams, SEM Group Director with 14 years’ experience in the industry discussed new technologies like batteries and electric vehicles, and how they are changing the landscape of home energy in Australia.

In this presentation, Bernie from Alspec ensured that the audience understood the new accessibility guidelines defined in NCC 2022, and defined the impact and challenges of Liveable Housing Design criteria on new buildings including renovations & additions.

In this session, Alison from Verosol outlined the latest automated shading systems on the market, examined how they work, and shone a light on the best and most effective ways for specifiers to integrate them into their projects.

A group of design students were treated to a full day’s training activities hosted by the team at Hettich on Thursday last week.

The amazing team at Polytec were at it again last week, actively engaging with their “inner circle” customers.

Now that’s how you do it! The team at James Hardie hosted Sentinel Builders from New Zealand for a few few days and took them on a design tour which of course included a visit to their showroom, right here in the Cente.

Our thanks to Ed from CSR for another expertly delivered Formal CPD session which addressed the NCC fire resistance requirements for a wide variety of building products and applications.

In this presentation, Samantha & Anthony from Austaron Surfaces educated attendees on the scope of design possibilities while also addressing the fundamentals for more standard joinery applications.

In this masterclass, Adam from LimeTree Alfresco walked everyone through designing their Outdoor Kitchen from plans to completion.

In this course the professor of timber, Dwight Walker from Paradise Timbers, outlined the properties of timbers used for design and finishing.

Ed from CSR and Andrew from Bondor both did a fantastic job with their presentations which as it happened were quite complimentary.

The team at Hettich spent two full training days at the Centre last week learning all about their expanded product range … and there is more to come in this space.

The launch of this exciting new initiative has been five years in the making and provides Interior Designers with a new, professional accreditation pathway.
